Excuse the horrible pun, but the FEAST garden, an organic student-run garden at Occidental, is in its second summer of operation, and going great. Check out the garden blog for recent pictures of what’s growing. Within the last week the garden’s five chickens started laying:
Students have also proposed a second, linked garden site at the back of college-owned properties at the edge of campus. And they want to serve food from the gardens in the cafeteria. Both items are under discussion with the administration.
